In Kraniotiko Aori, in Psiloritis, at an altitude of 848m., We built with our own hands a mitato - a refuge of the Cretan tradition. At Shepherd House we try to share our traditions and way of life with every visitor. During your visit, depending on the season, you can see the milking of our sheep and participate in cheese-making, animal shearing, the rakokazano, the collection of herbs and the traditional cooking. Then we will all enjoy local delicacies together. The wildlife around Mitato offers unchanged trails for hiking, bird watching, herb searching and cycling.
